Time's up on broadband vouchers
Time's now up on the £3000 government grants for better business broadband.
Superfast Britain (also known as BDUK; Broadband Delivery UK), the UK Government's incentive to get businesses to take up faster internet connections, has now finished.
The grant scheme, which provided up to £3000 towards the often expensive cost of internet installation, was launched over a year ago. Since then more than 40,000 businesses across 20 different UK cities have redeemed their vouchers, to start experiencing more reliable and faster connectivity. Of those more than 500 Sheffield and South Yorkshire businesses have had money to help them upgrade their internet.
The DCMS (Department for Culture, Media and Sport) said the scheme would run for as long as the allocated money was still available, which was exhausted as of Monday 12th October 2015. All orders placed for better business internet connections from this date, will not be eligible for the grant money.
